By Air
Cardiff is served by Cardiff Airport, 20km outside the city centre; there is a bus service connecting the airport to the nearby rail station (Rhoose Cardiff Airport), from where there is an hourly service to Cardiff Queen Street Station, which is 400 metres from the Congress hotel.
Transport will be provided by mini-bus or car for all Congress participants arriving at Cardiff Airport on Saturday 15th/Sunday 16th or departing from Cardiff Airport on Saturday 22nd/Sunday 23rd August. This transport can only be guaranteed for participants registering their arrival and departure flight numbers and times on the Congress website or with the Congress Organisers before 5th July 2015.
The "early bird" cost of this transport will be £10.00 each way per person (£20.00 return per person) - please pay one of the Congress Organisers on arrival (please do not pay the driver).
Participants confirming their arrival and departure times after 5th July may be allocated remaining places if available for a cost of £20.00 each way per person (£40.00 return), however no additional transport will be reserved.
The next nearest airport is Bristol.
Cardiff is accessible by rail or bus from London and other UK airports. Delegates arriving at Heathrow Airport can take the Heathrow Express to Paddington Station in London, from where there is a direct rail connection to Cardiff. Alternatively there is a direct bus connection from Heathrow to Cardiff city centre.
Rail connection to Gatwick Airport is via Reading.
Delegates are advised to buy rail tickets in advance, as this may be considerably cheaper.
By Rail
Cardiff is a major station on the UK rail network, with direct connections to London (approximately two hours) and other UK stations. Trains to Cardiff leave London from Paddington station, if travelling via London, please allow time to cross the city by tube.
The main station in Cardiff is Cardiff Central, appoximately 2km from the hotel; there is a regular connecting service to Cardiff Queen Street, 400 metres from the hotel.
By Road
Cardiff is situated on the M4 Motorway (European Route E30) and is easily accessible by road from UK destinations, including ferry and tunnel ports (380 Km drive from the Channel Tunnel).
Please note that the Severn Crossing between England and Wales is a toll bridge (currently £6.50 for cars, there is no charge eastbound travelling from Wales to England).
Don't forget that we drive on the left in the United Kingdom!
