Cardiff Airport Transfer Arrangements

Transport will be provided by mini-bus or car for all Congress participants arriving at Cardiff Airport on Saturday 15th/Sunday 16th or departing from Cardiff Airport on Saturday 22nd/Sunday 23rd August.  This transport can only be guaranteed for participants registering their arrival and departure flight numbers and times on the Congress website or with the Congress Organisers before 5th July 2015.

The "early bird" cost of this transport will be £10.00 each way per person (£20.00 return per person) - please pay one of the Congress Organisers on arrival (please do not pay the driver).

Participants confirming their arrival and departure times after 5th July may be allocated remaining places if available for a cost of £20.00 each way per person (£40.00 return), however no additional transport will be reserved.

The deadline for nominations by the ICCF National Federations for all EB positions, plus Auditor, has passed. I am pleased to announce the candidates for the ICCF 2016-2019 four-term to the ICCF Executive Board and Auditor: (Note: Zonal Director nominations and elections will take place after Congress).

In accordance with the ICCF Voting Regulations and Electoral Procedures (effective from 01.01.2014), “If three or more persons are nominated for the same offices or office, any candidate who receives more than 50% of the votes cast, is elected on the first ballot. Thereafter, the candidate receiving most votes on the second ballot is elected. In case of a tie, a new ballot is held between the candidates who tied”.

Bluebirds Fixtures Released Today

The Football League Championship fixtures have been released, unfortunately Cardiff City FC are playing away on Saturday 15th (Queen's Park Rangers) and Tuesday 18th August (Blackburn Rovers), but for anyone attending Congress who would like to experience a match before returning home, the Bluebirds have a home fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday August 22nd.

For those with an interest in Rugby, the Welsh leg of the Premiership Rugby Sevens is being held at Cardiff Arms Park on Saturday 15th August.

Meat eating dinosaur in Cardiff for ICCF Congress

The fossilised skeleton of a meat-eating Jurassic dinosaur found on a south Wales beach will be on show at the National Museum in Cardiff during the week of ICCF Congress.
